Pastor Ben was born and raised in Australia and came to the Bay Area in early 2017. Even though he grew up at church as a second-generation pastor’s kid, it wasn’t until college that he started to seriously consider his Christian faith meant for his life. At one worship event, Ben witnessed the passionate pursuit of Jesus in other believers which deeply impacted him. Gradually, the desire to live his life for Christ grew in Ben’s heart. After working for a few years in business development, Ben went on to receive a M.DIV from Australia College of Theology. Ben currently serves as the English pastor at HOC1. He is married to Ruth and they have one objectively cute daughter, Erin. Ben’s other interests include drinking coffee, playing pickleball with the church uncles and spikeball with the young adults.
