敬虔的基督徒會被聰明人「藐視」，斷言是受了什麼刺激，或愚笨、或軟弱，以至不得不信奉「虛無縹緲」的上帝（還是「洋」的）。
然而，擁有生命經歷的基督徒，卻深知所信的是「又真又活」的三一神。只要定睛注目在主身上，尋求真理、認識真理、接受真理，真理必叫我們得以自由。信靠基督的人在主裡面順服聖靈的引導，敬拜祈求父神，祂就將生命、平安、智慧厚賜與跟隨祂的人。
